It's the season of candy, but if you don't want to wait until Halloween to get your fill of all things sweet, then I have the perfect place for you to visit. And it's free!

Hammond's Candies has been a Denver institution ever since the company was founded in 1920. Specializing in old fashioned candies such as hard candies, lollipops, candy canes and taffy, they've been delighting Colorado kids (and adults!) for generations.  And with good reason. Their candies are delicious!

Now, eating candy is always pretty good, but do you know what's even better? Eating candy at the factory where it's made! That's where the free Hammond's Candies factory tour comes in.

Magic of the Jack O'Lanterns 2023

Magic of the Jack O'Lanterns is back again this spooky season at Hudson Gardens in Littleton.

This is one of my favorite family friendly Halloween events. Set amongst beautiful gardens and along a large pond, Magic of the Jack O'Lanterns is a stunning display of intricately carved pumpkins beyond your wildest imagination.

As you can probably guess from the name, this event features a lot of jack o'lanterns. Like, a LOT of them. You'll also find carved sculptures made from stacks of pumpkins, lighted arches, singing jack o'lanterns, colorful lighting, spooky music and all your favorite characters from a wealth of movies.
