Elf on the Shelf: Week 4

Ok, Christmas is over but I still have a few more Elf on the Shelf photos to share with you. So here's a look at week four of Elfie Pokie Nokie in our home - and on vacation with us!

On the twenty second day we caught Elfie playing with Ava's Lego. Ava had built a wagon and it just so happened that it was the perfect size for Elfie to sit in. That poor horse seems to be struggling though!

On the twenty third day we headed off on our vacation to Southern California. Elfie didn't want to miss out on coming with us and we found him sitting in the kids' partially packed suitcase. Ava and Lola had been worried that Elfie would not be able to find us while were were away on vacation so it's a good thing he packed himself!

On the twenty fourth day, Christmas Eve, we were in the cute Danish inspired village of Solvang. We woke to find Elfie sitting on a pile of presents that I had left out for the girls. The presents were their new Christmas pajamas to wear to bed on Christmas Eve. Elfie was holding the last advent voucher for the girls, one that read "Visit Santa Barbara".

Christmas day! We spent Christmas and the following few days in Santa Barabra. We stayed in a two story house and the big girls could not wait to head downstairs to see if Santa had visited us in Santa Barbara. The girls could not get enough of the fact that we were staying somewhere with Santa in the name over Christmas! The owners of the house had very kindly left their Christmas tree in place for us and the girls were pretty excited to see that it was indeed surrounded by presents in the morning. Elfie was sitting close by with letters from Santa himself. Once the letters were read the girls jumped into opening their presents while Elfie watched over.

Elfie then spent the rest of Christmas day sitting a top the tree out of the reach of little hands - and mouths! He's found himself being chomped on by Mathilde on more than one occasion!

The next morning Elfie Pokie Nokie was gone. Back to the North Pole until next December.

Thanks for providing another month of fun Elfie. See you in eleven months!

    1. We've been doing the Elf on the Shelf for a few years and my kids love it. I hadn't heard of it before we moved to America but it's now one of the kids' favourite Christmas traditions :)
