Ever wanted to step back in time to when dinosaurs ruled the world?
A time when the earth rumbled as Tyrannosaurus rex hunted for food. When pterodactyls soared through the skies. When the seas were home to giant reptiles. When pachycephalosaurus butted heads and stegosaurus trekked through what would become the Rocky Mountains.
If you’re in Colorado, you’re in luck! Visiting dinosaurs is easy and you don’t need a time machine.
All you need is a ticket to Dinos Alive!
Dinos Alive is an immersive exhibition that takes visitors back to the Jurassic, Cretaceous and Triassic periods in a fun and educational way. Yes, fun AND educational!

Dinos Alive is currently on display at Exhibition Hub Art Center in Denver, and is a dinosaur lovers dream come true! If you’ve ever wanted to experience walking among all your favorite dinosaurs, this is the exhibition for you.
Visitors will find themselves walking through various environments filled with life sized dinosaur animatronics that roar, swish their tails, and move their heads. You’ll find a large array of dinosaurs from various periods of time. Ferocious carnivores and gentle herbivores stand side by side, while flying dinosaurs soar over head. At each display you’ll find an information board with the names and details of each dinosaur on display.
Want to experience prehistoric life under the sea? There’s a whole room for that! This room features projections on all four walls as well as the floor, giving visitors the illusion of being underwater. Giant prehistoric reptiles swim along the walls with schools of tiny fish. Giant anemones, corals and starfish line the seabed underfoot. It’s a pretty peaceful room to spend a little time taking in all of the sights and sounds.
The exhibition is full of interactive fun, especially for younger kids, with dinosaur shaped slides, fossil digging, a race against a dinosaur, and ride on dinosaurs. An add on VR experience is available and suitable for kids ages 6 and up. This was my favorite part of the exhibition. You’ll also find a coloring station where dinosaur pictures are brought to life on screen and plenty of fun photo opportunities.
