Christmas has been and gone for another year, but the festive spirit is still alive and well in Denver with many popular holiday events still happening for a little while yet.

Camp Christmas Takeover at Stanley Marketplace

Christmas may be over, but things are still pretty holly jolly at Stanley Marketplace in Aurora.

And it’s all thanks to Camp Christmas, which has taken over the entire market place this holiday season.

After a year away in Texas, Camp Christmas is back home in Colorado and there are still a few more days left to check out all of the camp, festive fun!

We visited a few days before Christmas and I’m excited to share it all with you today.

Museum of Outdoor Arts: Mister Christmas Diorama

Christmas cheer comes in all shapes and sizes, and today I’m sharing one of the smallest holiday displays you’ll find in Denver this year.

It may be small, but this festive diorama outside Marjorie Park in Greenwood Village packs a mighty punch when it comes to Christmas cheer. Designed and created by diorama master, Mister Christmas, this fun display is full of wintry scenes made of recycled materials. The more you look, the more tiny details appear. 

The best thing about this holiday diorama? It’s free to visit! So, if you’re in the Greenwood Village area (or even if you take a trip there from Boulder like I did) it’s a must see this holiday season.

The Broadmoor’s 2025 Gingerbread Display

Each year, The Broadmoor hotel in Colorado Springs is home to an awe inspiring gingerbread and confectionery display. Now, I’m not talking about your regular, every day gingerbread men. I’m talking about larger than life vehicles, cottages, and festive characters made out of sugary sweets.

This year’s exhibition pays tributes to Colorado Springs’ title of Olympic City USA, with Santa and his elves playing various Winter sports.

Now, if you’re like me, you may be wondering why Colorado Springs has the title of Olympic City USA. While the Olympics have never been held in Colorado Springs, the city is home to the US Olympic & Paralympic Committee headquarters, the US Olympic & Paralympic Training Center, and the US Olympic & Paralympic Museum. You learn something new every day!
