Camp Christmas Takeover at Stanley Marketplace

Christmas may be over, but things are still pretty holly jolly at Stanley Marketplace in Aurora.

And it’s all thanks to Camp Christmas, which has taken over the entire market place this holiday season.

After a year away in Texas, Camp Christmas is back home in Colorado and there are still a few more days left to check out all of the camp, festive fun!

We visited a few days before Christmas and I’m excited to share it all with you today.

Let’s take a look…

As you might have noticed from the pictures above, Camp Christmas is spread all throughout Stanley Marketplace. Parts of the exhibition can be found in public areas of the market place, completely free to visit, but the highlight is Camp Christmas Express, a mini version of the beloved holiday exhibition available to visit for just $10 per person. Think of it as a little break from the outside world and a way to reset for the holidays. A festive and campy, world full of nostalgia and good vibes.

Inside the Camp Christmas Express exhibition you’ll find a huge variety of holiday decor and displays including a pink room complete with a pink Christmas tree and sparkly horse, Victorian and turn of the century Christmas decorations, gingerbread house displays, a walk through bubble tunnel, mid-century decorations, a huge variety of Christmas trees, Santas, deer and angels, and more twinkling lights than you can poke a candy cane at.

Then there are the pun trees! Dotted throughout Camp Christmas Express and in various places around Stanley Marketplace are the classic pun trees that add an interactive element to Camp Christmas. These trees are covered in a variety of decorations, each with a pun theme to guess. Think gum tree, wintry, pear tree, idolatry, palm tree, and so many more. Can you guess the pun trees pictured below? I’ll share the answers at the bottom of this post.

Like all good exhibitions, Camp Christmas Express ends with a gift shop. A gift shop full of Christmas whimsy and wonder. The gift shop is open to the public.

Outside of Camp Christmas Express you’ll find the most displays in The Local Drive, an indoor golf facility and cocktail bar. You’ll find ornate trees, neon signs, a spinning wheel of holiday jobs, a golden reindeer, pun trees, photo props, an tiki bar, and decorations galore.

The rest of the decorations can be found dotted throughout the market place. You’ll find many classic items from past Camp Christmas exhibitions such as the giant tree made from a variety of lights, a pink flying unicorn, giant candy displays, a replica of Blucifer, neon signs, a glass tree, and a Santa bar in Denver Biscuit Company.

Camp Christmas is on display at Stanley Marketplace for just two more days, ending this Sunday December 28th at 8pm.

Stanley Marketplace is located at 2501 N Dallas Street, Aurora.

As promised, here are the answers to the pun trees pictured above:
