Meow Wolf: House of Eternal Return in Santa Fe

If you're following along on Instagram, you'll know that we recently visited the original Meow Wolf location in Santa Fe, New Mexico. I'm a huge fan of immersive art, and Meow Wolf is one of our absolute favorite places to immersive ourselves in a world of wonder, creativity and imagination. 

We've been lucky enough to visit three Meow Wolf locations (in Denver, Santa Fe and Las Vegas) over the years, and each time it really has felt like stepping through a portal into a whole new world. A world where nothing makes sense, yet somehow all makes sense at the same time. 

Today I'm sharing more of our visit here on the blog. Prepare for LOTS of photos! You may notice that there are a few photos where the kids look younger. That's because I've also included a few from our earlier visit back in 2022. It's crazy how much they've changed in just four years!

Summer Break is coming up in just a few months, and while that often means taking a trip out of state or even overseas, some of the best vacations are spent right at home exploring your own backyard. If you're in Colorado and planning to stay home this Summer (or if you're visiting Colorado from elsewhere) there is plenty of fun to be had locally.

Now, for a lot of people, when they think of Colorado the first things that come to mind are the mountains, skiing, snowboarding and hiking. Those are also the main things you'll see when you google "things to do in Colorado" or if you follow Colorado based bloggers/influencers. The mountains here are beautiful, but if you're like me and you don't really care for Winter sports or trekking far away from civilization, finding resources for things to do in Colorado can be a little tricky. So that's what I'm sharing with you here today! We're not skiers or hikers, so while you'll find a few short hikes in this post, I'm leaving the more outdoorsy pursuits to the pros. If you're looking for mountainy adventures, I'll share a few of my favorite local bloggers and influencers at the end.

Immersive Art in Denver

It's no secret that I'm a big fan of immersive art. If you've been here a while, or if you follow along on Instagram, you're sure to have seen a lot of immersive art featured in my posts.

 
We're lucky here in Colorado that there are quite a few permanent (or long term pop up) immersive art exhibitions. They're a great place to spend an hour or two on a cold day (or a hot day - Summers here are HOT) and they're a lot of fun. Plus you get to come home with creative photos that you can't get anywhere else.

Meow Wolf Convergence Station

It's finally here!

Meow Wolf's long awaited Denver location has finally opened!

Last week I got the chance to visit Meow Wolf Convergence Station before it opened to the public and it was everything I imagined it would be and so much more.

If you've been here a while you'll know that I'm a big fan of immersive art, so I've been super excited about visiting Meow Wolf ever since I first heard that it was under construction. Every time I've zoomed past the site on the nearby freeway I've felt that tingle of anticipation and excitement as I've spotted the signage. This past year has been a doozy with so much pain and heartbreak in the world, but seeing that colorful Meow Wolf sign has always lifted my spirits knowing that something so good is coming our way. It's here and I'm so excited to share it with you!
