You may remember that I shared my favorite murals found around Longmont, Colorado recently. Well, I'm back with more that I recently found while visiting. These murals are all new as of this year, with some of them going up over Summer.
I've updated my Longmont murals map to include these new murals and you can find the link at the end of this post.
Let's take a look...
While it may look like there are many new murals featured here, they're all actually found in just three locations within a short walk from each other. You'll find these murals on the parking garage at 3rd Avenue and Kimbark Street, Gorilla Tinting at 2nd Avenue, and Jester's Dinner Theatre on Main Street.
The murals on the parking garage at 3rd Avenue and Kimbark Street practically encompass the entire building. They can be found on all sides of the ground floor, inside the parking garage, and up on the roof level. These murals, titled Architecture of Time, were painted this Summer by Osiris Rain and feature life in Longmont. You'll find historical moments, wildlife, plants, and snippets of current day Longmont, interspersed with colorful shapes and swirling lines that carry the eye from one feature to the next. I love the contrast of the bright colors against the neighboring historic buildings.
The new murals on Jester's Dinner Theatre can be found facing the parking lot and are seen as you head north on Main Street. These feature native flowers and pollinators, and were created over Summer by students from Front Range Community College. You can find an article about the project here.
Jester's Dinner Theatre is located at 224 Main Street, Longmont between 2nd and 3rd Avenues.
